#1 Arguments on the Homosexuality
Curability and cause of homosexuality has been controversial till now days.
Each people has their own belief about homosexuality.

Let me tell about how APA (American Psychiatric Association) and Korean psychologists thinks about Homosexuality.
#2 Is it mental disorder? The Homosexuality
Telling the conclusion first, APA and Korean psychologist do not consider homosexuality as mental disorder.
The psychology majored professor in Korea, who I had conversation with, told about his experience like below.
Once, he made an outcall lecture and mentioned "homosexuality is not mental disorder" slightly.
After the lecture, he got so many complaints about his mention about homosexuality like,
"How dare you say that homosexuality is not mental disorder?"
"If your child is gay, Can you dare say like this?"
However, he thought these complaints are not fair.
Because, he did not mentioned with his belief.
Then why he had to say "homosexuality is not mental disorder"?
It was because of the third version of DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders).
#3 DSM-3, DSM-5
In May 2013, fifth version of DSM was released by APA.
Almost all the psychologists in Korea follow the DSM-5 now days.

Homosexuality was eliminated from mental disorder category,
From 1973, the year when the DSM-3 was released.
DSM started to define the homosexuality as one of trait or sexual tendency.
Let’s suppose that we take mid-term exam for clinical psychology.
The question was "Homosexuality is mental disorder - O / X"
If it was before 1973, the answer should be O.
If it was after 1973, the answer should be X.
#4 80% of the human are bisexual?
I heard this hypothesis before in sex psychology lecture.
"Actually, the 80% of human are bisexual. But they cannot recognize it themselves.
Because these homosexual desire is suppressed by social and moral influence."
When I heard this first, I snorted about it.
However, after I made some research for may paper about homosexuality, I changed my attitude.
"80% is still exaggerated, but hmm it may be possible though."
It is well-known story that homosexuality was kind of fashion in Greco-Roman period

As you know, the right of women was almost empty on that period.
On the contrary, the power of men was excessively high.
These bias (women are humble) make the homosexual relationship as sophisticated fashion.
It was kind of social suppress like luxury bags or clothes of these days.
Let’s back to 80% bisexual hypothesis.
What if someone is included in 20% of heterosexual?
If that someone is real heterosexual, He would refuse homosexual relationship strictly.
In the case, Toyotomi Hideyoshi would be real heterosexual.
In era of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Japan has similar fashion with Greco-Roman.
Pretty boys was tribute as payment to nobles in Japan at that time.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi also got pretty boy as tribute.
But, Toyotomi Hideyoshi had no interest to tribute.
And, he asked to pretty boy like this.
"You are so beautiful. Do you have beautiful sister like you?"
He did not care about social surpress like fashion or culture or that era.
Because he was 100% heterosexual.
#5 Homosexual in Korean psychologist society
Feb 2019, there was an accident in Korean psychologist field.
One of the certificated counsellor was expelled from "Korean Counseling Psychological Association".
The reason was related with homosexuality.
Expelled counselor introduced himself as "Counsellor that can cure homosexuality" to his clients.
"Korean Counseling Psychological Association" diagnose mental disorder based on DSM.
So, it was action against doctrine of Korean Counseling Psychological Association.
That introduction that curibility of homosexuality was the basis of expelling.
It means in Korean psychologist society, Homosexuality is not the matter of curable.
#6 Finishing
Hoping this writing was helpful time to understand about homosexuality.
